Welcome to episode 100 of the Charles C.W. Cook podcast. That's right. We have hit the century, albeit a little bit late.

Look, I know some of you probably saw this on Twitter, but I lost my best friend.

I wrote about it online, but it's been a bit of a tough time.

He had cancer and fought it for three years but unfortunately passed away in February. In fact,

exactly a month ago. So I have been a little bit behind on a few things, including this podcast.

But we have nevertheless got to episode 100.

I was looking back and counting up the number of episodes that I did with Kevin Williamson

when we produced the Mad Dogs and Englishman podcast.

And I was looking at the editors, the other podcast I do here at National Review still.

And then at this, and if you add them all together, it's about 1600,

which is not a bad little hall.

And now this one is in triple figure.

So thank you all so much for listening,

for all of this time and for bearing with me.

I should say I don't quite know what's going to happen next because I am kicking around doing a video show, but I'm not sure that I want to just do this podcast as a video show over the internet, filming the people talking,

and then presenting it a la Hollywood Squares.

I just don't think that quite works.

At the same time, probably can't do both.

And perhaps this is a good outlet for the audio from that show.

So I'm probably going to be experimenting a little bit over the coming months with how I switch over to video.

And I hope you will bear with me while I do that.
