Before we get going, one quick note, something that I guess I should mention.

My editor, the lovely Sovanarie, M, miserably failed me while we were recording since

she decided to pass out as the recording button was going on and wasn't here to correct my...

I mean, correcting my pronunciation, admittedly is a hopeless task and this more than anyone can ask of anybody else, really.

But the point being, there are a few moments during this recording where I'll use the word

sculpture and sculptor and they are going to sound exactly the same.

Now, not that what I just said sound that much better, but at least I could have made an effort

and that effort is just not there.

So sometimes you'll hear me refer to a sculpture where I'm talking about a man who specializes in making sculptures.

Not quite the same thing.

So I just wanted to give you the heads up that my usually awful pronunciation is even worse when it comes to those two words and I'm going to mix

them up during this recording. Having said all that, let's get the ball rolling with this new

episode. Here we go with this second and last part about the life of Benvenuto Cellini,

the author of one of the craziest

autobiographies of the Renaissance, famous artist, a brawler, as we're going to see soon, a murderer,

really disturbing men in a lot of ways, but we're able to set aside judgment for Amino,

just studying his life, he opens a fascinating window into life in the Italian Renaissance.
