Summary

After a lifetime of trauma and hardship, healing and wholeness can seem unattainable. Every new trial feels like a step in the wrong direction, and eventually we look up and the life we want to live seems impossibly far away. This is where Kristi Blackburn’s story begins. She’s walked through more trials than anyone should have to face: an abusive father left her fearing for her life and the lives of her family. A physical assault in a foreign country left her injured and anxious. A failed marriage left her a single mother with seemingly no hope of a “normal” home life. No one would want to walk through any one of these, but Kristi has faced all of them and more. For this special 100th episode of the Nothing Is Wasted Podcast, Kristi sits down with Davey to share her incredible story of how God has walked with her through countless hardships and brought healing in ways she never would have expected. Hello, welcome to the Nothing is Wasted Podcast. My name is Davy and today is a very, very, very different day because I don't have a co-host. and the reason is because this is an extra special episode.

0:36.3

It is officially our 100th episode.

0:39.4

I absolutely can't believe it.

0:41.3

To be honest with you guys I am not sure I thought when we started this

0:45.3

that we would have a hundred episodes. This all started with just a little simple idea of trying

0:51.1

to bridge the gap between what I felt like people the questions people

0:55.6

were asking and the answers I was getting from other people that were helping me to

0:59.6

heal. I felt like there were so many questions from all over the country of how is this guy still standing after the tragedy that he went through and yet God was intersecting me with so many different people who had incredible stories of trial tragedy and transition and I felt like I was the bridge builder just going hey come here listen to these

1:14.3

conversations listen to these people listen to these stories and and man you guys have just

1:19.8

shown out big time on not just listening to this and engaging with us and being a part of our community

1:25.8

but also sharing it with other people and so it just really it overwhelms me to think about what this

1:31.8

podcast has done and in these last 100 episodes and the

1:36.8

healing that has been sparked in people's lives because of this and it really

1:42.0

excites me to think about in the next 100 episodes what

1:45.0

God's gonna do through all of this and so I just want to thank you I want to thank you

1:48.6

so much for being one of our listeners and for sharing this and for engaging with us and for really

1:55.1

leaning into the hard things so that you can find healing in the middle of the

1:59.7

adversity that you're facing the trial that you're going through. Today I've got an awesome interview and I'm biased because this is probably one of my favorite

2:10.1

interviews.

2:11.1

No, hands down my favorite interview
