This is like a pro tip for anybody who wants to talk to me when I probably shouldn't even

tell you this but um like if you see me out in the world I may or main and you try to talk to me and

you're a strange man who I don't know I I might not be very nice to you depending on my mood

Story checks out like oh this fucking guy like I'm tired I'm on the subway like what do you want? But if you bring up the

DSA pin that I am wearing on my jacket I am politically obligated to share at least a minimum of friendly conversation with you about the

organization and it's actually worked out pretty well so far like I was riding the subway the other night actually in the week

leading up to the health care event that I helped put together and I had you know I was so

tired oh my god I don't even remember why I was just really

tired. I'm always tired. It doesn't matter. And this guy came up to me on the

subway. I'm like, uh, what's this going to be? And he asked me what my pin

was. And I said, oh, it's the Democratic socialists of America.

Would you like to know more?

And he was like, oh, oh, interesting.

I've heard of you, like, what's up with that? And so like I explained it a little bit to him and I plugged my healthcare event and I told him to come. And he's like, oh, cool, cool, maybe I will will and then not only did that guy show up to the health care event

He stood up and asked a really substantive question during the panel.

What is your number? He did not even try to talk to me afterwards.

So I got pretty much exactly what I wanted from that interaction.

So shout out to that guy.

Never let it be said that button politics are not a thing.

Would you say the most important thing you've learned about left organizing then is to be an attractive young

woman and wear pins? You know we got to use all the tools in her two blocks, right?
