This is the fourth and last episode in a multi-part series dedicated to the life of Lakota

leader Kresyhors in specific and the conflict between the US and the tribes on the Great

Plains in general.

It's probably a good idea to check out the previous episodes before you get started

Most writings about American Indians tend to be hopelessly flawed.

They are of first some highly romanticized image of native peoples as perfect beings who

can do no wrong.

For instead, under the guise of dispelling these stereotypes, you can see works that seek

to reintroduce the older, negative, more racist stereotypes of native people.

Basically, these latter works tend to be thinly disguised racism passing a scholarship.
