Hey guys just wanted to jump on the horn with you right quick before we start

episode one of the your Kickstarter sucks podcast and let you know that I messed up

on this one and recorded the podcast in its entirety using the on board

microphone of the computer as opposed to the extremely good microphone that I'm talking

into right now.

However, I did want to go ahead and release it as episode one because I think

it's still a good podcast and honestly it's not that bad. It's just not as good as it's going to be

in later weeks and on the rest of our episodes. So give it a listen. I think it's worth your time.

If you ultimately decide that the audio is not for you, don't fear. Come on back and we'll have a competent engineer produce the episode for next week and then all the weeks thereafter.

Dismade by the low quality of the majority of crowd-funded projects and

unencumbered by any sense of pity for their wayward creators, a humble poster

assumes his mantle. The maiden voyage is little more than an unadorned screen shot of an unfunded film proposal,

but already the critical voice of the site is taking shape.

That first week would yield some 30 additional entries

which skewered everything from a piss poor Ron Paul game concept to a 25% funded

steam punk musical featuring a robotic Abraham Lincoln.

Your Kickstarter sucks was a runaway hit in an instant darling of the Tumblr community, but some five years on had failed to earn even

as much money as 12. The comedic short, about a one foot tall man's predictable failures

in the dating world that have inspired the blog in the first place.
