This is our first show ever, and I hope you'll enjoy it.

Well, now, as much as I'd said into the intro as I'd like to make a purely historical or a purely political show,

whenever there's something about the Soviet Union, it always gets turned into something of a mix of them.

I was preparing to make this first episode to be about

Perestroika, because I have on my hands a book by Mikhail Gorbachev, the last general secretary

of the Soviet state and the first president of Soviet Union, Perestroika and the new way of thought

for our country and the World, written in 1987,

where he talks about his Glasnost and Perestroika programs,

and he talks about the political situation in Europe at the time, about how it's going to look in the future,
