Sometimes in life, we encounter people who teach us things we never knew we needed to learn.

Who offer a perspective that forces us to re-evaluate our outlook and who humble us with

their innate wisdom and kindness.

Sometimes though, we also meet people who offer us none of these things.

Now, despite both of us having been in fairly immaculate physical condition and with differing

but equally sort of deep and healthy glowing tans, we a few years ago decided to stop playing

professional rugby into hand over the game that the game we love to some of the younger

bugs to give it their best crack.

And it was a tough decision but I maintain the right decision as I think both of us were

keen to go out at the top and we were both absolutely flying in our respective careers

weren't we Tom?

We were Dave, we have passed the bat on over and I've always said this, if you're going

to go out, you go out on top.

Absolutely.

You do not fill the down the leagues do you?

He's always said it, we're elite and we remain elite.

We are.
