This is Season 3, Episode 1 of The Doctrine and Covenants.

Can you believe that we made it to Season 3?

My mom used to always say something like, who would have thunk?

But I'm there.

Like, who would have thought that this thing would have become what it's become and that

I would be doing it starting the third year of a podcast?

It's crazy.

I want to start off first things first.

A little bit of housekeeping, should we say?

A lot of times we like to call the Doctrine and Covenants the DNC.

And we'll say, in DNC 3, blah, blah, blah.

And I want us to try this year to get away from doing that simply because it was brought

to my attention one time by a woman who had miscarried and lost a baby.

And if you know when you lose a baby and you go to the hospital and they have to remove

that pregnancy, it's called a DNC.

And so sometimes when you say that, you inadvertently bring some painful feelings to women that

have had this unfortunate situation.
