And joining us at the table today is a designer Jerry Hawthorne, who's designed such games as

Mice and Mystics, stuffed fables, and the new familiar tales, Jerry, welcome to the show.

Howdy everyone.

And I guess I'm also supposed to be saying welcome to at the table with Tom and Eric.

I'm not used to a script, Eric, you got it here, you're throwing it up there.

I even kept it short so that you only have a few things to say.

We're still working, we're getting used to the whole process here.

Yeah, so this is where we jump right into our discussion.

This is a show about the people who play games, and so we really like to get to know the

people who get to hang out with us here on the program.

So I want to start, Jerry, because I've always wanted to dig into your background and

the stuff that brings you to this hobby of ours.

And let's just lay some groundwork right here.

Where did you grow up and where are you now?

Well, now I live in Texas, Dallas, Texas, but I grew up in beautiful Colorado.

In the mountains, in the beautiful Colorado, and now I live in ugly old Texas.

Normally people don't say that, like, from a beautiful state of, wait, are you

going to say anything negative about Texas when you live there?

Oh, yeah.
