Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,978.

A lot of times I get a question, I get the question, where do these episodes come from?

0:12.9

The ideas, the principles, the stories. And to be honest, a lot of them come from daily experiences I have with executives and with coaches on the different

0:23.3

phone calls that we have. And a couple of days ago, I was on the phone with an executive and we

0:28.4

were talking about a principle that really stuck with me. I've been thinking about it a lot ever

0:34.6

since. Now, for those of you who know, whether you are an executive

0:38.9

or a coach at a very high level or at any level, it is really busy. Your time is getting pulled

1:43.2

perspective on the situations that she was going through.

1:47.4

And it was so empowering to her that she decided to bake it into her daily schedule.

1:54.5

To be able to take time in the beginning of the day to pause as she walks into the office

1:59.6

and to make a list of the things she's

2:04.1

grateful for. And as she does that, what she hypothesizes is that it's going to reset her focus,

2:11.8

help her realize and remember to remember all of the good that's happening. Because again, as highly competitive leaders, executives, athletes with type A personalities who are pursuing greatness,

2:27.3

it's often very hard to pause and to stop because we're constantly pursuing, constantly chasing,

2:36.2

constantly running around.
