I was in a conversation a little bit ago and we were talking about keeping things simple, being able to teach in a manner that's so simple that the people not only understand it, but they cannot misunderstand it.

In the book Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson, he says that Steve Jobs had a similar approach to simplicity.

He says this, quote, Jobs had aimed for the simplicity that comes from conquering complexities, not ignoring them.

It takes a lot of hard work, he said, to make something simple, to truly understand the underlying challenges and come up with elegant solutions. He continues,

you have to deeply understand the essence of a product in order to be able to get rid of the parts

that are not essential, close quote.

In order to teach something simply, you need to understand it deeply.

There's a difference between simplistic and simple.

If you're simplistic, it means that you have not paid the price to understand the nuances.

You have not taken the time to understand the complex the complexities of a topic. In order to make it simple, you need to dig deep. You need to be

extremely well acquainted with the topic, with the research, understand the ends and the

outs of it so that you could know and understand

which rules that you could bend and which rules you can completely ignore.

And that only comes when you deeply understand it.

So my question to you today is, what is something that you need to dig deeper in? What is a topic? What is a problem? What is something that you need to dig deeper in?

What is a topic?

What is a problem?

What is something you're trying to solve for that you're not thinking deeply enough?

That you need to really go deep and to understand it truly.

It's going to take some time.

It is going to take effort.

It's going to take your attention.
