Good morning and welcome to the Increachian Impact podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,945. I'm going to read another excerpt from this great book, same as ever, by Morgan Howsel. It is so good. I just love how he writes. Here it is, quote, a simple rule that's obvious but easy to ignore is that nothing worth pursuing is free. How could it be

otherwise? Everything has a price and the price is usually proportionate to the potential rewards.

But there is rarely a price tag and you don't pay the price with cash. Most things worth pursuing

charge their fee in the form of stress,

uncertainty, dealing with quirky people, bureaucracy, other people's conflicting incentives,

hassle, nonsense, long hours, and constant doubt. That's the overhead cost of getting ahead.

A lot of times that price is worth pain but you have to

realize that it's a price that must be paid close quote we even this has kind of been the theme for

the week right i think this is we've been talking about this all week being willing to pay the price

being willing to pay the price being willing to pay the price to achieve

whatever you want to achieve and i love what morgan said it comes in a in a form of sacrifice you got to pay

the price with your time pay the price with your attention pay the price with your energy

and sometimes you might think that it's just not worth it.

It's not worth the price.

And that's okay.

And that's okay.

But if the bigger the goal, the bigger the price, the further you want to hit that ball,

the fences that you're swinging for, if you want to take a moonshot

in your life you need to pay a moonshot price and that's what it requires don't worry about the hacks

and the tricks and the shortcuts the shortcut is hard work the shortcut is doing a little bit every single

day for not months not years years, decades. That's the shortcut,

is just getting after it every single day and enjoying the journey along the way. So my question to you
