I just read a wonderful story, a system that Payne Manning used when he was playing quarterback in the NFL.

He was quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts and then the Denver Broncos, for those of you who

are unfamiliar with NFL football. And for those of you don't know who Payton Manney is, one of the

best NFL players quarterbacks to play the game. And one thing that I just learned is his system

when he went into the off season, the take that he would watch.

So this episode is for those of you who are trying to learn from failure.

Now, not all failures are created equal.

There are failures of things we do, and also there are failures and mistakes that we make

of the things that we did not do.

And so he would take a look at four types of plays that went throughout the season.

The avoidable, the unavoidable, and what I like to say, the coulda and the should of.

Quote, Manning would study all of his worst moments, each throw that landed in the hands of an opponent,

and grade it as either avoidable

or unavoidable. An avoidable interception was an undisciplined play where he tried to force a ball
