with others. It's been awesome. So thank you so much for that. Now for this episode, I was once working

with a player who was having a very difficult time separating his off the field life from his

on the field life. Now the off the field life, he's married, he has kids,

there were some health issues, there's a lot going on. And when he came into the dugout,

or into the clubhouse, he shared with me that sometimes it's hard to separate the player

from the person. And he is a very good player, very competent, and he's

playing at a very competitive level, the highest level in professional baseball. And he's going

up against some of the juggernauts of the sport, the Yankees and the, in the Orioles,

and the, in the Blue Jays, and the Red Sox in the American League East Division

and he said sue I need some kind of technique to quiet my mind to separate off field versus on field

and the suggestion that I offered was one that I learned many many years previous to this it was called

the mental locker I got him a lock I got him a lock. I got

him a journal. And I said, okay, whatever's on your mind, put it in your journal. And when you're

taking your street clothes off and changing from your street clothes to your baseball clothes,

take a few minutes to jot down in bullet point fashion, all the things are on your mind,

and then put it in your locker with your street clothes.
