we are talking about Harrison Ford. Harrison Ford is going to teach us a lesson that many of us need.

Some of you might be struggling. Some of you might be struggling to the point to where you're thinking about giving up.

Or you know someone who's in a circumstance where they might want to give up.

Harrison Ford can teach us a powerful story about what to do when you're in that situation.

Before he was Han Solo or Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford was a carpenter.

In 1964, Ford moved from Hollywood, moved to Hollywood,

to become an actor. He said that, quote, when I arrived on a metaphoric bus full of people

who had the same ambition, close quote. So he came up with this plan to prevail over this competition.

As Ford spent time around other aspiring actors on that metaphoric bus, he became aware of something.

Most of them were in a hurry. They were in a hurry to make it or to make lots of money or to prove something to someone.

Whatever the reason, most of the people he was competing against were on the tight timeline.

So Ford's plan was to do the opposite, to lengthen his timeline. To do so, Ford said,

I had to have another source of income, so I became a carpenter.

By doing carpentry, he explained, I was able to wait it out. And as the years went by,

the attrition rate eliminated many of the people from the competition pool until finally

there were only a few of us left on the bus from that

to stick it out because you're going to find a lot of people might be smarter or stronger or have

better connections or be more artistic or whatever it may be.

But if you can find a way to hold on and to stick it out, you'll find that a lot of these people who had a better skill set, more talent, will fall away by the wayside because their
