Good morning and welcome to the Increasing Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,400, 1,843.

And today's quote comes from Mark Andreessen, who is a technologist. He says this, I am continually

amazed at the number of people who coast through life and don't go and seek out opportunities,

even when they know in their gut what they'd really like to do.

Don't be one of those people.

Life is way too short.

I spoke to a coach a few weeks ago, and he said when he was a player,

the best advice that he was given from another coach was that

you're going to be dead a lot longer than you're going to be alive.

And you're going to have a life outside a sport a lot longer than you're going to have a life

playing your sports.

And for some reason, that gave him the courage to take risks, gave him the courage to swing for the fences, so to speak,

and to give his absolute best. The odds are going to be against you. There's going to be a lot of

other people pursuing the same goals, but the last thing you want is regret. You don't want to

beat up on yourself or not going for it because you're afraid to fail.

You're afraid to embarrass yourself in front of people.

And so just like Mark Andreasen says, don't be one of those people.

Life is too short.

Go for it.

Seek out the opportunities, especially when you know in your heart that that is what you really want

to do. So my journal prompt for you today is this. What sets your soul on fire? What do you

really want to do? What do you really want to accomplish that is scary?
