Good morning and welcome to the Increased Dream Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,810.

One of the key character traits, one of the many character traits of elite performance is the ability to learn,

0:15.6

becoming a learning machine and not just learning from the tough times, but to learn from the good times as well.

0:22.3

For those of you who are going through a difficult time in particular, one thing that makes

0:26.4

learning hard are the negative emotions. You may have an experience that is not ideal,

0:32.5

and you play it over and over and over in your mind, and don't, and as a result, you don't just

0:39.9

experience it emotionally one time, but you experience it, have a negative experience

0:44.7

over and over again multiple times because you keep replaying it over.

0:49.5

Now, the antidote to this is number one is you're going to feel how you're going to feel.

0:53.4

That's human.

1:00.6

It's normal. You're going to have that's human it's normal you're going to have that happen but the moment you could start to stop and to pull out lessons to ask yourself how it makes you stronger what you can do better next time things you would

1:06.8

have done differently and you start taking out the emotions now you're not going to

1:11.2

completely take out the emotions you're a human being but if you can start to learn from those

1:16.3

experiences and learn from those decisions that you made or that you chose not to me or you did

1:23.5

different direction that you would have gone if you have the opportunity again,

1:28.9

then you're able to pull out the meat, the lessons from that adversity.

1:34.4

And so my question to you is, what adversity have you hit lately that you can learn from?

1:39.7

Another kind of a different way to ask that question is,

1:42.7

what are some lessons that you are leaving on the table? Because you a different way to ask that question is, what are some lessons that

1:44.5

you are leaving on the table? Because you don't want to revisit that tough experience. You don't

1:50.6

want to go over that loss. You want to look the other way when that failure bubbles up in your

1:55.5

mind. My invitation to you is to stare at it, to absorb it, to learn from it.
