episode 1,774. The next few episodes, I don't know how many exactly, I want to give

you some very specific tools that I have seen useful for some of the players

that I have worked with. Now these tools aren't things that I invented, most of

them are tools and skills, mainly tools, not necessarily skills that athletes

have invented themselves and that they created, leveraging their

understanding of the mind of their own bodies, of how they work, and I want to

share some with you. So today on their forget the player came up to me and he

was talking about his mind running away with him when he was thinking about

the future. A lot of times professional athletes, they will look ahead just

like anybody else and think about worst case scenarios. Sometimes the

butterflies get the best of you, your heart rate is sky high and and your

muscles starting to get tense so what do you do? What this athlete decided to do

with some of his teammates is they decided to play the alphabet game. It's a

very simple game. One starts with the letter A, says a word, another one starts

with letter B, another one starts with letter C, and then they go back and forth

all the way till they get to Z. They can make a competition out of it, you can do

it by yourself. Now what the interesting thing is this player ended up doing it

and he came up to me after the game, he says, hey that game was extremely

helpful because it gave his mind something to chew on. Rather than worrying

about worst case scenario and worrying about what the future held, he was focused

on winning the ABC game and they played it over and over and over. They had some
