receiving negative feedback or critical feedback if some people want to say it that way.

My question to you is when was the last time someone who you value, you value their opinion,

when was the last time you got critical feedback from that person?

One thing that a lot of people don't realize is that the best performers in the world,

the top athletes in the world all have coaches. And the great thing about these

coaches is that they've built relationships so strong that it can bear the weight of truth

with these athletes. These athletes know that they get praise from their thousands of fans,

from all of their admirers, from their peers, but they allow these

coaches to give them critical feedback, information that they would not allow other people to

share with them. My question to you is, when was the last time you got critical feedback from someone you

respect, from someone who's close to you?

Are you keeping an open mind and are you surrounding yourself with people who just tell you

how great you are?

Or are you also surrounding yourself with people who you allow to give you the hard truth. And it might be difficult.

However, if you are looking for critical feedback, if you are seeking ways to improve,

then it won't be so emotionally taxing on you when you do hear someone trying to help you get better because

you know it's coming from a good place. So if you have not received critical feedback in a long

time, my invitation to you is identify people who you respect, walk up to them today and say,

hey, please give me some critical feedback. How can I get better? What are my blind spots?

What can I do to improve? This not only helps in your professional life, but it can help with your friends.
