0:31.5	evening announced that Monty Coleman had died. He was 68. Monty Coleman is one of the best linebackers in Washington history.
0:40.0	He was taken by the Redskins in the 11th round of the 1979 NFL draft out of the University
0:45.6	of Central Arkansas. He played for the skins for his entire NFL career, 1979 through 1994, a 16-season season NFL career. He was on the 1982,
1:00.6	1987, and 1991 Super Bowl championship Redskins teams, was on the 1983 NFC Championship,
1:09.6	Redskins team. And he was a warrior. I am a child of the Washington,
1:15.1	D.C. area of the 1980s and early 1990s. The best way to describe Monty Coleman to those who didn't
1:22.2	see him play is that he was a warrior, just a tough, reliable, hard-nosed, diligent, and durable player.
1:30.6	He's not an all-time great from the standpoint of being a candidate for the Pro Football
1:34.5	Hall of Fame, but he absolutely is an all-time great Washington player. He is a member of the
1:40.2	franchise's Ring of Fame. Very sad to see that he passed away.
