Good morning and welcome to the Increasing Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua episode 1229. I've been talking to a lot of

0:08.3

coaches and a lot of players recently that are going through tough times in their career or in this

0:14.0

season. We often talk about learning from failure and how pain teaches and that's all great. I absolutely agree with that.

0:23.5

But what we don't often talk about much is how embarrassing losing is, how painful failure is,

0:32.2

and how it could eat at you, not just in your sport, but outside of your sport.

0:37.4

It could affect the way food

1:32.8

deep pain. And it comes in different flavors. And have the wherewithal, the pause and say,

1:38.3

what kind of pain is this? And to know that pain is temporary. And it will incite action and change.

1:46.8

If you're experiencing pain, that might lead you to change the way you're doing things,

1:51.7

change the way you're viewing things, change the people you are around.

1:55.1

And it might cause you to create these adjustments.

1:57.7

And so my invitation to you is to use whatever pain you're currently feeling

2:02.0

as a teacher. Maybe you don't need to change anything. Maybe it's just part of the process,
