Hello everyone, I'm Stephen West. This is philosophized. This how's it going guys and gals?

Welcome to the first show of the new year. It's nice to see you back.

Now for the rest of this month and I believe all of next month we have zero sponsors.

So in an attempt to not get evicted from my condominium or have to become a sandwich artist as a

means to augment my income, I did something you guys have been asking me to do for a long time but

I never did it because I didn't want to feel like a sell out but now that I'm making zero dollars

and zero cents for doing the show, I don't feel like so much of a sell out. I made a page on Patreon.

Now for anybody that doesn't know what Patreon is real quick, it's kind of like kickstarter

in that you contribute a certain amount and you get a special reward for contributing.

But instead of pledging like 50 bucks up front on Patreon, you pledge, you know, a dollar

and episode, two dollars and episode. The thinking being that you only give your contribution when

an episode is actually delivered to you. Now not only do you get a guaranteed episode but as I

mentioned before, there's all kinds of great rewards that you can get for patronizing a cause you

love. We got all kinds of stuff. We got t-shirts, we got shout outs on the show. At one level you

actually become part of the creative process of making episodes. You know, I send you behind the

scenes footage, brainstorming sessions, episode ideas and I use your consultation to build the

episode and make it better. I mean, I even got one where I will literally get on a plane and fly

out to where you live and hang out with you. That's how desperate I am to not become an employee

of Taco Bell. Look all kidding aside, you guys know me. I really want to keep doing this show.

You know, people ask all the time, it's philosophy relevant in today's world. I don't only think

it's relevant. I think it's actually the solution to many of the world's problems right now.
