Before we begin, I want to explain that chord

progressions and playing by numbers is a concept that stems directly from

major scales. So if you are trying to learn more about music, you're

trying to develop a deeper knowledge of guitar theory, you really ought to learn

major scale patterns and learn how to use major scales before you get into the details of chord progressions and playing by numbers.

Now here we're going to talk about triads, we're talking about chord construction, we're talking

about intervals, we're to talk about major scales, and we're going to talk about chord patterns and numbers.

Some people refer to this as the Nashville number system and of course we're going to talk about progressions.
