Yeah, well that what the trench does is it's the basement walls are cinder block and what happens is

that's on a foundation and what water gets trapped in there and just stays in there and until eventually it seeps through the walls.

So what they do is they dig a trench around the inside perimeter and then drill holes in the bottom of the wall.
