This is a special episode.

Obviously, it's me and Francie coming at you this week.

I alluded to this at the beginning of this month, but I wanted to do a special episode, sort of just going through the adoptive process, like our journey

and bringing Ethan into our family. It is National Adoption Month, so we're celebrating

that as a family. And today in particular is Ethan's gotcha day. So for anybody that doesn't know

what gotcha day means,

it's a day that families celebrate that have adopted a child,

and not all families that have adopted celebrate this day.

But it's a day where we celebrate the day that Ethan joined our family.

And so for us, that looks kind of different,

and we'll get into that a little bit in this episode

but there's the day that Ethan like came home with us and by home I mean our apartment in

Columbia and then there's the day that he like legally became a part of our family and so some

families celebrate that legal day. Some families celebrate the day

that he, like, physically was with us. We choose to celebrate the day that he physically was with us

because the weeks leading up to, like, the day that he legally became a part of our family,

we put in the work. Well, yeah. I mean, we started parenting the day he came home, so that's big.

So we're going to get into that but today we're

celebrating that and we are actually going to be headed to the magic kingdom and just like not very
