Lake Superior was known as Kichigami, but unfortunately Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the name in the poem the song of Hiawatha and Gordon Lightfoot was like oh that's what it's called

it's called gitchagumi let's call it getchigumi and so now everybody knows it as

getcha gumi. Inc fascinating. I know.

Have you heard of the wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald?

Well, it is a shipping vessel that made its way across Lake Superior, but a Nor'easter blew early.

Oh, no. And there's lots of different tales about it. There's a lot of different theories about what happened to it because there's a different ways that you can wreck in the Great Lakes.
