who may have ordered in. So this is our first episode.

So before we even get started, we wanted to just explain a little bit about what our deal is.

And the shortest we I can describe is to say that it's like, how did this get made or mystery

science theater, but for books.

So we're going to read some books that maybe we don't think are very good, but we're going to

try to figure out what other people like about them and have some fun.

And we also would like to just start right off the bat by saying that this is a, we want to be respectful in our.

We all read things that maybe we don't want our dates to know we read.

We all read things that maybe we acknowledge as we're reading them. They're not

going to win any literary awards or be passed down through the annals of time. There's absolutely

nothing wrong with reading a book that perhaps ends up on a podcast like this one, but it always is fun to sort of wonder how in the

first place this became a multi-million dollar bestseller. Like how did this even happen?

Right. And my day job, I'm a teen services librarian. And when people find out about this,

a lot of the time,

they're like, oh, ha ha, so is your job to convince teen girls not to read Twilight? And that is not my

job. My job is to make sure there's enough copies of Twilight for every kid who wants one. And I,
