Episode 23, Momentum.

Before we get to the meat of the episode, I have an announcement to make.

As some of you may have already noticed, the Age of Napoleon is now part of a podcast network called recorded history.

If you don't know what a podcast network is, you're not alone, I didn't either, but it's not unlike a television network or a radio station.

The show will remain independent, but we'll now be pooling our resources with other history podcasters.

This is big news for me because it's going to make operating the show a lot easier.

For you listeners, hopefully that will translate into more content of higher quality, as I can focus more on the creative aspects of the show.

But you are probably not going to notice much of a change.

The main difference will be advertising.

Those of you who were not caught up on old episodes at the time of this recording

may have already encountered them.

I realize that might be a drag. I listen to podcasts myself and I'm never particularly excited to tune in for the commercials. That said, putting out the show is a ton of work. Hours and hours go into every

episode. I absolutely love doing it, but I need to find ways to make it pay if I'm going to keep putting so much of myself into it,

while maintaining the standard of quality I think all of us want.
