Hi there, I'm Steve Crossman and this is a football daily but with a difference

it's got nothing to do with the Premier League or the EFL or the Champions League

or all the international football going on at the minute.

For the next 40 minutes or so we're going to be discussing epilepsy,

the disease, how it affects sufferers, sufferers families, all of their mental health

and we'll be looking at the stigma and the misconceptions that surround it too.

Friday marked purple day which is the International Day of EFL and why us,

well because I can't really remember hearing a proper discussion around it in relation to football

and I'm fairly well placed to say that because disclaimer, I am epileptic,

my sister's epileptic were both on pretty heavy medication for life to stop us having seizures

although for a lot of people it doesn't stop you having seizures totally and that's me

and for many others it doesn't stop them having seizures at all.

So with us to discuss all of this we have two footballers who have epilepsy,

the Port Vale Defender Leon Legg works with the charity Young Epilepsy

and he also has his own blog called Epilepsy Boiler, hi Leon.
