One guy who just quit his job is actually winning the internet today.

His name's Robert Simpson, and he had a job at the British grocery store chain, Tesco. After several years working in the backloading area, he finally went into his manager one day to let him know he was done. Oh, God, right. And he's moving on. Wow, that's a big step. I've worked at a grocery store before, and you dream of that moment for a very long time. From the second you put that smock on. Yeah, I only worked there for a year, too. So, his manager told him, you know, that's fine, but he would need to submit a formal resignation letter, which typical manager move. Like, oh, you want to quit, you have to do more work first. We've got a form for that. You're like, no, I'm not going to work here.

I won't be here tomorrow. Yeah, you need to apply for that too.

Well, Robert took that request very, very literally.

His boss wanted a formal resignation. He was going to give it to him. So Robert showed up at the store the next day in a full three-piece suit with a cane carrying his very formal resignation letter in his hand.

Oh, I love that.

So good.

He got up and stood on a box and then proceeded to read it out loud in the middle of the store.

Yes.

His letter said, to whomever it may concern, I write this letter from a place of sorrow and regret.

Oh, my God.

These six long, arduous years have caused me to grow quite weary.

Whilst I have reveled and labored with my subordinates, my knees have grown weak, and the

grease on my elbows has depleted.

Meanwhile, shoppers are just walking by as this is going on.
