Our guest today is Lisa Jackson, Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Just four months after taking the helm at EPA, Administrator Jackson stood in the White House Rose Garden last May,

alongside CEOs of the world's largest automakers. The industry CEOs and top federal regulators

all listened shoulder to shoulder as President Obama announced a deal to increase auto efficiency standards and reduce greenhouse gases.

It was a historic gathering of former foes that would have been unthinkable just a few months earlier.

Before President Obama picked her as the first African American to run the EPA,

Administrator Jackson served as the chief of staff

for New York Governor, sorry, New Jersey Governor John Corzine, and Commissioner of the State's
