Summary

In 1985, Katie Eastburn and her two young daughters, Kara and Erin, were savagely murdered in their Fayetteville, North Carolina home. An acquaintance named Tim Hennis was tried and convicted of the slayings. On appeal, he was granted a new trial and acquitted of the murders. In 1985 Catherine who everyone called Katie Eastburn lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Katie was a military wife. Her husband, Captain Gary Eastburn was in the US Air Force

and they had decided to move to Fayetteville in

1983 when Gary was assigned to Pope Air Force Base where he served as the chief of
