Summary

Cindy James was enjoying her newly single life, after divorcing her husband in early 1982. However, her joy was short-lived, when only seven months after her separation, Cindy became a victim of a stalker. The stalker was relentless and she was terrorized for the next seven years. During much of that time, police did not take her reports of harassment, threats, and incidents of physical harm seriously. Cindy disappeared on May 25, 1989. Her dead body was later found near an abandoned house, hog-tied with a nylon stocking around her neck. Shockingly, her death was ruled a suicide. Listen to this week’s episode and hear how suicide was a nearly implausible cause of death for Cindy James.
