Many years ago when my wife was pregnant with our daughter, she had a severe case of hypermesis, which is morning sickness all day, every day. Oh, that sounds awful. There were many times when she was admitted to the hospital for dehydration in malnutrition, as she would literally vomit everything she tried to consume. She had to have a port put in to have a constant supply of nutrition. Her father, Bob, really wasn't around all that much for various reasons.

The drive was too far, 30 miles, too far to see your sick pregnant daughter?

Bob?

Come on, Bob.

Excuse me, but I guess there's other various reasons.

Even after we offered gas money and or a ride, he would always have an excuse as to why he

couldn't see her.
