So my little brother brought his college girlfriend home to our lakehouse over Memorial Day

weekend.

By the time the fireworks were starting, only my brother, his girlfriend, myself, and a cousin were feeling up to going out. My brother drove the boat and his tipsy little girlfriend was in his lap most of the time, which was already irking to watch. Why is it irking? When the fireworks started, he asked me to take a picture of them with the fireworks in the background. That's cute. So I did it. After I took the photo, I told him he might as well get some with the family, me and our cousin.

Wait, wait, get some. And I said this because he'll want happy memories that he can look back on with the whole family one day. Yeah, not this floozy. Admittedly, I went on to make the drunken joke that his love life was a revolving door nowadays anyways. Hope he's jealous as heck.

I didn't think he would get mad over a little tiny joke like this because he's never really

cared much about his past girlfriends, which I don't know if you get to be the judge of that.

Yeah, you're not the star of his love life.

Now he snapped at me and told me to shut up.

Especially in front of his girl, man.

So the girlfriend responds and asked him what I meant. And I interjected as my brother's previous

response annoyed me. Props to the girl being like, yo, that was out of pocket. Yeah. What are you doing?

Which is hard to do when you're first meeting your partner's family. Exactly. Yo, this one's a keeper.

I didn't want to sugarcoat things for her.

I told her, he has gone out with numerous girls before her.

And I honestly was surprised he brought her home because she wasn't his type.

What?

This girl thinks she's like going to have a nice lakehouse ride with this new boy that she's dated for a little bit and then gets like the familial shut down.
