you doing? I'm all right. I'm all right. But more importantly, how is Eddie Pebble? What can we say?

Back from Japan. Now, I first knew something was wrong. Something was amiss when messages came in on social media from our listeners from people saying, I thought Eddie was supposed to be playing in Japan. Why is he not on the leaderboard? We didn't know about it. So, and I don't like to bother Eddie when he's in the golf tournament environment. So Eddie, tell us

tell us about your trip for it is a sad tale. Actually, because it is, do you remember, again,

you're possibly too young, do you remember our tune on Radio 1 with Simon Bates? No, I'm afraid

not. Okay, well, you just tell the story. Hang on a second. You just, um, Eddie, what happened

to you in Japan? Well, Andrew, I, uh, I, uh, I traveled a long way, but not much reward. And, uh, it was an expensive trip for a very little in return. So I'm going to stop. That's, that's, that's just off-putting and go on. Sorry. No, I, uh, I had a bad back. I back. I suffered a bit of an injury at home, actually,

the Friday before travelling and thought I would, well, I thought I would travel anywhere and

hoped that it would get better, but unfortunately it got a lot worse. So, yeah, I figured

not to push it and withdrew the Thursday morning. Is this the back? Because you, I remember when

we, we did our chat in China back in the day

on a podcast and you had a back injury and that was quite a cataclysmic it went and is it the same

sort of upper back area? No, it's lower back. So it's the same type of thing. That was kind of

why I didn't want to push it because as you say in 2018 that was quite significant. So, yeah, I've had disc issues ever since 2015, actually, where I had a similar injury. I had a scan yesterday. I kind of know what to expect. It's not going to be an overly pretty picture down there. But for me, it's always just a case of managing it which i generally have kind of been

doing well but um obviously didn't and i think maybe some excessive power washing some homework at

home clearing a skip out um just didn't probably help myself week before japan and and also tried

to hit the ball a little bit harder and i think just the difference of factors came together and yeah my back didn't like that very much so percentage wise DIY

wear and tear of being a professional golfer and uh trying to get more speed so could you apportion

the percentages for blame for this situation now unfortunately as well Ian I think there's a bit of hereditary factors going in there as well. As for the scans, I've definitely got some degeneration going on with my hips and discs. So there's a few things that go on with me. So I wouldn't be able to apportion it equally. I'm not sure, but yeah, it's one of those things. I'll get through this year for sure. I might look at something a bit more extensive coming in the end of the year. And there we go. And then Bilbo returned with the ring, but he stole from Gollum. Oh, not always ended up with them, and they separated. And it was very sad. Or somebody died. and then Simon Bates and his cheery voice would say
