Actually, here now, I have been buried in CNN coverage of Hurricane Gene, and if you haven't

seen it, it's been absolutely incredible.

A moment ago, for the first time ever in hurricane coverage, I saw, I believe, in the Melbourne

area, a correspondent in a yellow kind of, in a rain-protected gear thing, he was picked up off the ground

and actually took to the air.

First time I've ever seen a correspondent take to the air as Hurricane Gene makes landfall

at 27.2 north, 80.4 West, that's where it is right now, 27.2 north, and 80.4 West, if you're following it on the map, about 10 miles, west of Stewart, Florida.

And apparently it has intensified, as actually now, as it's making landfall.

The eye about halfway on land right now wins up now to one hundred

and twenty miles an hour

at the uh... last report with uh... nine hundred and fifty three millibars of

mercury

west northwest is the movement at about thirteen miles an hour

uh... so once again uh... the hurricane actually at this very moment making landfall,

half the eye on, half the eye off land, and there's going to be significant damage. This was

much worse than they anticipated, much worse than we've had so far, and some of the pictures being

shown on CNN are absolutely astounding. In a moment from Florida,
