Summary

This week three becomes four - at least for the duration it takes for Matt Wallace to cook his dinner, as he joins us to give another insight into the highs and lows of life as a tour pro. They review the weekend’s golf and decide that golf needs - and has - a new villain, while the women’s game has a clear star. They also decide that there are too many famous Nakajimas, that Eddie may have a claim to a record breaking clubhouse and that Andrew has an obvious naivety when it comes to ordering products online.

Folding Pocket

0:03.6

It's time now for the chipping forecast, issued by Folding Pocket on behalf of Andrew

0:15.7

Cotter, Eddie Pepperall and special guest Ian Carter. Hello there and welcome to the Chipping Forecast, the podcast where we sacrifice our lives for you.

0:34.6

We don't actually, not human sacrifice, that's frowned upon, but we sacrifice our time

0:40.1

and our social lives. So this is a late recording on Easter Monday. I was quite happily watching

0:46.5

Cotton Dashcam, but I've had to interrupt that. I'm not going to eat my tea until 930 until we're

0:51.8

finished with this. Spanish style tapas, well, Finder's crispy pancakes,

0:56.8

Spanish style. But anyway, it's, here we are. I'm Andrew Carter, and it is April Fool's Day.

1:02.5

So let's check in with a couple of jester's. And Ian Carter, a regular special guest. Hello,

1:07.9

Ian. Hello, Andrew. Happy Easter to you. Oh, yeah, super, super jebus day.

1:14.4

Get lots of eggs. I did get one of those chocolate, chocolate rabbits made by, uh, well, we can say,

1:20.6

it's not a BBC podcast. I don't care. It made by Lint. Lovely Lint. Hmm. And I'm looking

1:26.5

forward to eating the, but I, I feel bad when I unwrap it and eat it because I feel bad about breaking its ears off or eating its head or something like that. But then I realise it's not actually a rabbit, is it? No, that's ridiculous. Let's bring in Eddie Pepperl, who is not out on tour at the moment, but is at home.

1:45.4

How are things, Eddie? Somebody who's so anti-hunting. Andrew, I'm surprised you would eat a chocolate, even a chocolate rabbit. No, that's what I'm saying. I don't enjoy it. I mean, they are beautiful. I usually deval them in two goes. I think I've had a pack of Montezuma buttons. And that's all I've allowed myself to have this week.

1:42.5

They're very nice.

1:43.2

But I'm okay.

1:44.3

Sorry, Montezuma buttons. And that's all I've allowed myself to have this week.

2:01.8

They're very nice.

2:02.5

But I'm okay.

2:03.6

Sorry, Montezuma buttons. What are they? Yeah, these are, we've spotted them in our local waitros. They're kind of these luxury... You're not from the streets, are you? No, no, no. I never... No, they're beautiful. What you have to do, Eddie, is, and you can do this, you can buy the big jars like you get in the sweet shops, and then you just top up those buttons.

2:23.5

They're the best chocolate buttons in the world.

2:25.6

I agree with that. I haven't obviously been to the store, but I found this Easter to be worse than Christmas.
