I'm very pleased to be sharing a conversation I recently had with musician, producer,

and absolutely brilliant songwriter, Elaine Johannes. He goes by both Elaine and Alan, so those are

interchangeable. Now, for those of you unfamiliar with Alan's work, he's had an incredible career,

starting off in high school, playing with a group of fellas that went on to become the red hot

chili peppers. But of course, Alan cut his own path, formed his own bands, including What Is This,

Anthem, Walk the Moon, and ultimately the band Eleven, with his partner, Natasha Schneider.

Now, 11 was an incredible band, which garnered a devoted fan base around the world and drew

in musicians like Mark Lanigan, Chris Cornell, and even Josh Homme, into their creative

fold.

Now, as a duo, Alan and Natasha co-wrote much of Chris Cornell's solo album, Euphoria Morning,

while Alan also played with Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures,

he's on a ton of the Desert Sessions with Josh Hamey and lots more.

Alan and Natasha's creative center was the band 11,
