It's hot, humid, and the dog days of summer may last another month, but we have officially made

it to another waterfowl season.

Some of you have already cranked up with the early honkers in North Dakota.

Others may not be hitting the field for a while, but this is the beginning of the best time

of year.

Today, I am joined on the phone by our buddy, Mr. Michael Spain, co-owner

of Blue Stim Waterfowl out of North Central Oklahoma. Spain, what's up, man?

Man, not a whole lot. What you got going? I know you're the type of dude that doesn't

stay dormant or stay in one place for too long you're always on the

go so what are you what are you doing right now not actually today i've been uh working on cropy

habitat you know just artificial habitat for them and go put it out uh haven't haven't been

freshwater fishing except for yesterday in about i don't know for years So I think it's about time to start that back up.

So do you have some private lake or reservoir that you're doing that?

Or are you making your own brush piles and sinking them somewhere around there?

I do have a couple watershed lakes around here that are pretty good fishing.

And I also fish the, you know, spring river in 11 point quite a bit.
