Summary

A critical period in our history is the one hundred years leading up to the Stamp Act in 1765. This one hundred year period culminates in the French and Indian war. It was a century of Empire wars, with France and England waging proxy wars against each other, to seek control of what we now call North America. Caught in the middle were the colonies.
