and after listening to your recent episode with Alistair,

that's Alistair Parvin, by the way, from Wiki House.

I needed to email. I'm a structural

engineer. So Alastair Parvin talked all about housing problems and housing issues we've got in Britain

at the moment and his solutions. If you fancy it, listen back to that one. It's very good.

I'm a structural engineer, he goes on to say. I have keen interest in architecture. I've worked on many housing developments and for many years

have become disillusioned with the industry I work in. I love many of the points discussed with

Alistair. However, I do not share his optimism that things will change. I say this as the change

has to come from central government. That will never happen until the Tory donating developers

have no sway to government policy.

I worked on 115 plot development several years ago and in discussion with the developer,

asked why they don't supply as standard a water butt and a compost bin for each house.

I assume a water butt because I don't know, and I haven't done any research.

I should have Googled it, but I assume a water butt is one of those things which collects water,
