Tonight we're just gonna kind of dig into some homesteading things.

Talk about animals, some animal husbandry stuff, a little bit about dogs.

And I'll tell you, it's been a lot of great reflection for me over the last 20 days.

As I've got the dogs into my life and kind of now moving to getting them trained to be

what they're intended to be, which is Livestock Guardian Dogs.

And just to kind of reflect on the bigger model of the ranch and homesteading and what that means.

And just kind of looking at what that integrated system looks like, which I want to talk about tonight,

and just the sort of things that we all need to be thinking about, quite frankly.

So, before we get going, a couple of things that are important,

one obviously is food, and we'll be touching on that tonight,

but food in the emergency sense is very critical.

So what does that mean?

It means that you have to have an integrated foods program.

You have to have emergency food, which is that type of food.

Has long shelf life, has a grab and go capability.

Those are the sorts of things that you need in times of emergency,

whether it's a tornado that's been ravaging or Midwest.

Whether it's fires that we had in North Texas

or like we've had here in Oregon and down to Paradise, California,

whether it's hail and heavy storms, whatever these things are,

you need to have these sorts of emergency foods.
