And holy moly, everyone, what a record store day we had last weekend. I saw heaps of great posts

online, happy faces, people picking up new records, used records, special releases, and in general just supporting your local record stores around the world.

And that was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who supports independent record stores around the world.

They all need it after this last year.

For those of you who got to go to physical record shops, you were quite lucky.

Here in Australia,

we're in the middle of a major COVID lockdown. Record shops are closed. We can't even leave our homes, but I did manage to get a couple of things online from our local record shops down under,

which will be delivered to my house shortly. So if you're in a location where you can't safely leave your house, like here in Australia,

where I know a lot of our listeners are, please take a few moments to browse the online websites

of various independent record shops in your city.

Give them a bit of love online. I'm thinking of great

shops like Utopia Records, Egg Records, Red Eye Records, Birdland, Vintage Record, Beat Disc, Repressed,

Resist, and more here in Sydney. In Melbourne, of course, you got Dutch vinyl, Greville Records,

licorice pie, vicious sloth.

You can't forget, vicious sloth.

Discrepancy, Heartland, Northside, the searchers, plug seven, and heaps more.

If you are in one of those cities or in any city with a lockdown, your local record shops need you more than ever.

So give them some online love, get a vaccine,

and let's hope record store day 2022 is free of this type of fuckery.
