Summary

Once again Andrew and Iain bring their sparkling conversation from early morning in the dark depths of the UK, while Eddie prepares for a nice dinner in Sydney. This week Iain seems pleased because he has hit two good chips, Eddie is clearly tortured based on his nocturnal visions and Andrew is dismayed by people humble-bragging on social media. But they do also manage to dissect the weekend’s golf - Scottie Scheffler’s improved putting, LIV golfers triumphing, Tiger coming through unscathed. They then try and explain how important or unimportant it is that the golf ball is going to be changed for all of us and we have only seven years to prepare ourselves mentally for the loss of a few yards. They also decide that none of the trio is rizz.

Folding Pocket

0:03.6

It's time now for the chipping forecast, issued by Folding Pocket on behalf of Andrew Cotter, Eddie Pepperall and special guest Ian Carter.

0:35.0

Good morning, everyone. I say morning because we're recording this at 8 a.m.

0:41.6

I have to think about which one was the morning, a.m. or p.m. 8 a.m. on Monday in the UK. And we might miss out on stories. Stories break on Monday. They're put out on Monday sometimes because that's when

0:45.8

the working week kicks into gear again. Or is it? I don't even know anymore. Do people work on

0:49.8

Mondays? Anyway, I'm Andrew Carter, Ian Carter, chuckling away in Surbit. Oh, I gave away your

address there. Almost your dress. Suburbia. Suburbia, sorry. How are you? Lots of stories already

1:02.9

to talk about, though, Andrew. To be fair. So many, to be fair, TCF, TBF. And we're recording

1:09.4

it so early because we pander to the wishes and whims of Eddie

1:13.2

Pepperel, who is still in Australia. Still soft focus, I can see as well, which is weird.

1:18.9

But anyway, how is Australia? How is it, how's life treating you? How are you down there?

1:24.7

That's certainly what a doctor might say. Sorry, how are things down in Australia? I'm very well. We're having a great time. We're in Bondi Beach at the moment. We moved across today from the central business district of Sydney, which was great. I really enjoyed it there for the week. And we've got a few days here doing some fun things. And then we come home on Thursday. Oh, yeah, C-B-D.

1:45.6

Good, excellent.

1:51.9

Well, I mean, I'm full of envy because I'm all for hibernation now.

1:52.7

I want to.

1:55.6

I'd like to, January the 6th, wake me up in January the 6th.

1:59.8

I'm looking out just now and it's just, it's so dark. But when it was frosty and clear,

2:03.2

it was very, very nice. We had some very cold weather, Eddie last week. It's still pretty chilly, but it's, it's not quite so clear anymore. I don't know. It might be where you are. But Ian, have you been out on the, have you been getting out on the golf course, the frozen golf course? Yes. Yeah, I mean, this is proper golf, isn't it?

2:19.9

What we play as golf club members when you turn up in freezing fog, the greens are frozen.

2:26.9

You hit your approach shot and it lands on the green and it bounds all the way through the

2:32.8

back by miles.

2:34.1

But then you think I'll take
