Summary

Eddie rejoins the party, suffering from a post-modern cold but able to reflect on his efforts in Spain so far, while Andrew reveals some startling numbers from his golf club fitting. We abandon efforts to guess Iain’s age and instead examine LIV’s ongoing lack of world ranking points and also come to the conclusion that Talor Gooch will leave no lasting legacy in the game of golf but may well leave enormous piles of money to his descendants.

0:03.6

It's time now for the chipping forecast, issued by Folding Pocket on behalf of Andrew

0:14.5

Cotter, Eddie Pepperall and special guest Ian Carter.

0:28.7

Well, greetings, one and all.

0:30.8

Welcome to the shipping forecast.

0:31.7

I'm Andrew Carter.

0:35.9

And His Excellency, special guests, Sir Ian Carter, is here.

1:28.0

And special envoy. Quite like that. Is that a delay already? Quite like that. That's a premier installed. Yes. S.G. Ian Carter with delay. WD. WD. 40. W.D. 63 years old. I don't even know how old Ian Carter is, so that might not be true. I think you are, let me guess your age. Oh no, that's, that's harsh. It is, it is, is it harsh? Shall we just, shall I ignore that? So if I'm H.E., would you be N.R.? It's too early to go to the cricket. I can't be bothered, so let's just say good gaggy and move on. They were not going to guess Ian's age. That is cool. Because also you have to then try and sort of... Can if you want. You don't want to guess it exactly. You want to take four years off your guess. The ideal hit mark for a guess of somebody's age, a man, woman, child. I don't know why a child would be asking you to guess their age. Very strange,

1:33.9

but you've got to try and get sort of four years underneath it. If somebody's 44, actually, that's tricky, because if you start it with, if you get 40, 39, that's, you've nailed it. They're

1:40.3

happy, you're happy. Even if you've lied a little bit, everybody's happy. So this intro has become very strange. Right. Eddie Pepperl, I don't know what your title is. Special Envoy to the DP World Tour is here in Spain, on a red sofa in Spain. How is your, so you're now in getting ready for Sotomay, you drove down from Madrid?

2:02.0

Yeah, just got here about an hour ago.

2:04.1

Six-hour drive is quite a long way, actually.

2:08.5

But a nice drive, we stopped halfway at a pretty random service station.

2:12.0

I think Ian's age is given away by the fact that he's now using graphite shaft.

2:14.4

So that puts him upwards of 60.

2:16.4

It might... Well, come on now. Well, I mean... him upwards of 60. Oh!

2:19.0

Well, come on now.

2:24.8

Well, I mean, interestingly, I was going to get into my club fitting news later on.

2:26.0

Actually, I will do that later on.

2:28.5

Were the good toll roads in Spain?

2:30.5

I don't know what the toll road situation's like in Spain.

2:33.1

Did you try and bust through them like I did in Italy?
