so this is a story that I've never heard of and it was requested by Amy D and she's from Belfast, Ireland.

Oh, a tactical firearms officer for the Thames Valley police found himself in a bizarre situation on August 19th

1987 it was otherwise a quiet and ordinary day in the small town of

Hungerford the officer had been trained in conflict resolution and he worked on lots of severe cases but this is not like domestic violence or are we talking like yeah I think for maybe like hostage oh okay there was a man who

had barricaded himself inside the empty John O'Gaunt School and he was asking him to surrender and talk.

The man coldly replied, quote, Hungerford must be a bit of a mess.

None of this would have happened if my car would have started."

Oh, end quote.

What the fuck does that mean?

So weird, right? Within minutes, the Hungerford Massacre would come to a shocking end,

and now even 36 years later nobody knows exactly how it started.
