And hey, everyone, it's Nate, host of the Vinyl Guide. And this week, as you've heard, Trey Spruence is on the Vinyl Guide. Not once, but twice. Two episodes, number 180 and 181. Now, Trey and I cover a great many things, including

Secret Chiefs 3 and the fantastic music over at web of mimicry.com. But addressing the elephant

in the room, the world has gone absolutely mad for Mr. Bungle once again. Of course, their

reformation and a handful of shows were

announced last week. And of course, this has created heaps of excitement. And it just so happens I have

this extended two-part interview with Trace Bruins ready to share with you this week. This was

not all done by design, mind you. It was just a stroke of good luck, which I hardly deserve, but I'm

more than happy to take. We cover a lot of ground over the next couple of episodes, so

let me quickly set the stage for the sort of topics which you'll hear about and which topics

you ain't going to hear about. What you will hear about in the next two episodes, Trey is going to

take us through his career. In the early days at Eureka High, his discovery of eclectic music,

the formation of early bands, Tray's going to take us through his music collection. He's going to

talk about some artists which he finds fascinating and well worth checking into. He's going to take

us through some of his favorite record shops around the world and some of the memories he has about shopping with them throughout his various tours.

Trey will also talk us through the history of Mr. Bungle cassette tapes, how they were made,

how many of them were made. He even correct some of the lore from the early days of Mr. Bungle episode

we had, number 175,

which he felt in some places didn't accurately reflect the history of Mr. Bungle.

So he does some course correction there, as well as provides a lot of detail and a lot more

stories, which I'm absolutely sure all fans of Mr. Bungle and Trey are going to find fascinating.

Trey also takes us through the creation of Disco Volante, how those waters were navigated with the band and the record company, and also the process of creating the special vinyl edition of Disco Volante with Bernie Grunman. It's a really cool story.
