All right, welcome.

And the never ending quest to keep my ego in check. I told you we've been waiting, you know, three weeks now.

Two studio heads, major people in this town, people who can definitely get things done

and who both watch the Ramblawn pilot and really liked it. I've just been waiting for the

call. And, you know, you can't imagine

it's a good sign three weeks later. But again, just to be clear, and this is only justifying it,

not because it means anything. Because as I have told people my whole life, nothing means anything

except for we're on the set, we're shooting, we're on the air, people are liking it. That's all

that really matters. But the fact is

I know these people really like the pilot, otherwise they wouldn't have kept moving forward

with it. But anyway, I waited three weeks, which, you know, as I've told you and as any writer

who listens to this, no, waiting, it sucks. And each day that you wait, you assume nothing good.

And when the first call came in today, I had zero doubt that

it would be anything good. And again, she reiterated, I love this pilot. And I really like,

wish we could figure this out. Now, I can't really explain what that means. The bottom line is

they can't. So that's one pass and we're still waiting on the other one.

But listen, that can mean anything from we don't want to show with Charlie Sheen, Kevin Connolly,

and Kevin Dillon or from Doug Ellen. And again, I say we, she showed it to her team. She liked it.

I don't know what her team members said or what they thought, but you know, you're trying to get into a small hole. You're trying to get exactly what they're looking for at the time that they're looking for it, at the budgets that they're looking for. And this is an expensive show. And four years ago, right before the pandemic, this would not have been an expensive show. And I don't believe there's any universe where it wouldn't have gotten on somewhere. But the business has changed,

the strike, COVID, everything changed it. Lots of stuff is moving out of L.A. Lots of budgets are

being cut. And very little stuff is getting made. I mean, some stuff is getting made, but in the

...
